Our full range of options includes custom modifications and partial new build solutions, ensuring we meet the specific needs of Scottsdale homeowners. Let’s take you through our process — before, during, and after installation — for a hassle-free cabinet refacing experience.
Before We Begin Revitalizing Your Kitchen
It all starts with an initial estimate based on your rough measurements and preferences. If within your budget range, owner Dan Oldejans personally meets with you at your home with several samples to discuss design, materials, and customizations. This 2-3 hour session ensures you get exactly what you want. Following your choices, Dan provides an accurate and detailed quote after which, upon approval and deposit, installation dates are set.
Refacing Scheduling and Timeline
We believe in realistic timelines, and we stick to what we promise. While installation can begin as early as 4 weeks post-contracting, because we have one exclusive installation team, including the owner himself, the timeline is typically 6-8 weeks. Our commitment to realistic scheduling has earned us a track record our Arizona clients can rely on.
Our Expert Cabinet Refacing Team
Better Than New’s small, skilled team, operating in and around Scottsdale and led by owner Dan Oldejans, brings expert craftsmanship, professionalism, and care to your project. Our team guarantees unparalleled excellence throughout the cabinet refacing installation process from start to finish.
Getting Ready for Cabinet Refacing Installation
Preparing for installation is simple. Please clear off your countertops and empty the front 6-inches of your cabinets and drawers. Fully emptying cabinets or drawers is only necessary if your project involves custom new build features. In addition to working in your kitchen, we’ll set up a mobile shop as our “base camp,” requiring a cleared 15’x15’ secured, indoor space to ensure a smooth and efficient installation.
What to Expect during Installation
Some of the many benefits of kitchen cabinet refacing are experienced during the installation period. Clients will be able to use their kitchen during the project when the installation team is not working in the space. And although you can expect occasional loud noises as part of the installation process, there won’t be much dust or smell. Although the installation timeframe will vary from project to project based on size and complexity, it typically only takes 2-4 days to complete the cabinet refacing installation from start to finish. The team usually arrives onsite between 8:00am and 9:00am and will leave before 5:00pm each day.
Cabinet Refacing Precision
Our team is all about precision. We start by removing old cabinet parts and dispose of them responsibly. Then, we encase your existing cabinets with real wood panels, hand-paint transition areas, and meticulously install new doors, drawer faces, crown molding, slow-close hinges, handles, and pulls. Our dedication to functionality and aesthetics ensures every component aligns perfectly in your Scottsdale kitchen.
Quality Checks
Quality is our trademark. Stringent quality checks and inspections throughout the installation process guarantee impeccable workmanship. At Better Than New Kitchens, no detail is left unchecked, literally. We have a checklist.
Client Communication
We pride ourselves on open communication. We’ll keep you in the loop. With the owner onsite, any questions or concerns are addressed right away for a smooth experience.
Clean-Up Process
After the installation, we put your kitchen back together. Your appliances go back in place, surfaces get wiped down, cabinets and drawers are vacuumed, and debris is removed. Similar treatment is given to the mobile shop workspace. Our promise is to leave your space better than when we arrived.
Final Walkthrough and Approval
We’ll walk through the completed project together, making any adjustments needed and answering any questions. Final payment is collected at the end of the last installation day.
Post-Installation Support and Warranty for Cabinet Refacing
We’re not done when the installation is complete. We guarantee your satisfaction and provide post-installation support through a limited lifetime warranty. And the owner is always available for your questions or concerns, cementing our promise of enduring quality.
